Biography

Tony's research interests include developing models to integrate the spatial planning of city regions with urban built form, energy, transport, water, and waste. The aim is to understand how to improve the future sustainability of cities through interdisciplinary research. He is the research co-investigator and project manager of the ReVisions project about regional spatial planning and sustainable infrastructure. He was also project manager and a leading researcher on the  SOLUTIONS project about the sustainability of land use and transport for city regions. He previously worked on Cambridge Futures, researching transport options for Cambridge. Prior to joining Cambridge University, Tony advised government organisations on the planning and design of transport and large mixed-use development sites, which built on his experience of civil engineering and transport planning.
