Biography

Carmel McQuaid became the Manager of Sustainable Business at Marks and Spencer in August 2013.  In her previous role as Climate Change Manager, her key areas of focus included defining what it means to be a truly sustainable retailer, integrating Plan A into products, working with farming supply base and supporting delivery of the business’ climate change commitments.

Prior to M&S she worked as a consultant in manufacturing, supply chain and sustainability for PA Consulting working across a range of industries from aerospace to consumer products.  She started her career as a chemical engineer working in the food ingredients industry in Germany and the UK.
