Biography

Nicola Buckley joined the Centre for Science and Policy as Associate Director, Policy Fellowships Programme in February 2016. In this role Nicola is responsible for arranging the initial visits of Policy Fellows to Cambridge, development of CSaP's academic networks and the strategic direction of the Felllowships Programme.

Previously, Nicola was the Head of Public Engagement in the Office of External Affairs & Communications. The Public Engagement team works across the University and Colleges to support public engagement. The programmes they co-ordinate include the Cambridge Science Festival, the Festival of Ideas and Open Cambridge.

Prior to taking up her position as Head of Public Engagement Nicola worked as Fundraising Manager at Addaction UK, as a Secondee to the Science and Society team in the Department of Business Innovation and Skills, as Festivals and Outreach Manager, and then Head of Community Affairs, at the University of Cambridge.

Nicola is also chair of Trustees of the Cambridge Junction, an arts organisation and venue.
