Simão joined Vizzuality in December 2014 as a Product Developer. He likes to be involved in all the phases of a product’s lifecycle from idea to reality and enjoys being part of a team that creates products that make people’s life easier and contribute to the greater good.

He did his degree and masters in Software Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. In 2009 he followed his girlfriend to Cambridge and found a job at UNEP-WCMC, where he developed software and managed projects, including the CITES Species database (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).
